Few people have achieved in their lifetime what the Sytin brothers have accomplished. With a great deal of courage, determination, and strategic business idea, the Sytin brothers realized their dream – to own a highly competitive and growing family grill restaurant. Kenneth Sytin and brothers, always known to be keen on opportunities, saw the chance to explore a new business arena: the Restaurant industry. Backed with a good business background, they established what is now known as CONGO GRILLE Bar & Restaurant.

Their combination proved to be a success. Their relentless efforts, attention to every detail in the food service business, commitment to quality and innovative product development laid the foundation for CONGO GRILLE’s success story. In 2003, barely four years from their maiden branch in Quezon City, CONGO GRILLE opened its largest and grandest project ever. Westgate Center Filinvest, Alabang was the site of its pride, a symbol and salute to its reputation as the “Fastest Growing Grill in Town”. It currently has nine (9) stores across Manila.

CONGO GRILLE serves almost 154 items including appetizers, seafood, soups, chicken, pork, beef & steaks, specialty drinks, sodas, wines, desserts, and other native favorites. In contrast to other Grill Restaurants, substantially all menu items are prepared daily inside the store’s kitchen facility using high-quality, fresh ingredients based on innovative and authentic regional recipes.

In 2006, CONGO GRILLE won first place, taking home all honors in the professional categories of the annual Sisig Festival in Pampanga. Along with CONGO GRILLE’s grand slam win was the distinction of being declared as “SISIG KING” by no less than the sisig capital of the country. Since it opened, it serves more than 30,000 servings of different kinds of sisig across all outlets per month.

We believe CONGO GRILLE restaurants are recognized by guests for offering exceptional value with generous food portions at modest prices. Our restaurants possess a distinctive, contemporary design and interior, with its African-inspired murals and ornaments, backed by a wide selection of music genres playing, ranging from Pop to R & B’s Hip-hop, New Wave, Techno, Classic Gold, 70’s, Rave, Samba, Cross-over, Alternative Rock and many more. It creates a high-energy-fun ambiance in a casual and homey setting, which is carried out daily throughout the dining halls across all Congo restaurants.
